Welcome to VILLAGE GREC SOUVLAKI, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Montréal at 654 Rue Jean-Talon O. This beloved Greek restaurant has earned its stripes through years of serving authentic, mouthwatering souvlaki that keeps patrons coming back for more. As a food reviewer, I can assure you that there’s magic in every bite.
If you’re searching for a culinary experience that embodies Greek cuisine's warmth and vibrancy, look no further. VILLAGE GREC SOUVLAKI is known for its generous portions, rich flavors, and a cozy atmosphere adorned with photographs of C-List celebrities who have indulged in their delectable offerings.
- Signature Dishes: The star of the menu is undoubtedly the souvlaki. Each skewer is grilled to perfection, with tender meats that boast smoky, charred flavors. Combinations like the mixed grilled meat plates serve a delightful array of lamb, chicken, sausage, and pork sticks, reminiscent of Mediterranean summers.
- Accompaniments: Their sides are not to be overlooked. The hand-cut fries are a favorite, perfectly seasoned to complement the main attractions. Even the rice and pita hold their ground, offering a fabulous backdrop to the flavorful proteins.
- Desserts: No meal is complete without a sweet finish. Their baklava and gâteau fromage are the ideal way to end your Greek feast, reflecting traditional recipes that elevate the casual dining experience.
Customers rave about the friendly service and impressive value for money. Many have been loyal patrons for years, including those who recall childhood visits that have now been passed down to their own children. As noted by one satisfied customer, “The food was really good; everything is grilled on the charcoal, and it makes everything better.” This dedication to quality is palpable in the freshness of each dish.
Whether you opt for a quick pickup or a sit-down meal, you’ll be enchanted by the flavors and the nostalgic charm of VILLAGE GREC SOUVLAKI. I live in Toronto .. and I ALWAYS come here for Souvlaki. It is the BEST souvlaki I have ever had. Been coming here since I was a kid. And it’s still my number one spot ! Must try . Won’t be disappointed

Greek food has always been a favorite of mine, I've found it more scarce in Montreal than Toronto to my dismay. This restaurant presents everything that makes me love dining at Greek restaurants- big portions for fair prices, great service and generally delicious food. I went for a Gyro platter. The pita was absolutely perfect. I asked for extra onion and got the exact % extra I was aiming for. The rice & salad were a bit plain but didn't need to be stars of the show. I prefer crushed feta for the salad. Amazing fries too. The tenure of this place speaks for itself, the walls are lined with photos of C-D List celebrities that have dined there. The old school wood theme brings comfort along with the food.
